If you were brought up in central Africa you’d be believing in the great Ju-Ju up the mountain. There’s no particular reason to pick on the Judeo-Christian god, in which by the sheerest accident you happen to have been brought up and, and ask me the question, “What if I’m wrong?” What if you’re wrong about the great Ju-Ju at the bottom of the sea?”

Wat mij vooral verbaast, is dat enorme applaus aan het eind. Ik krijg altijd de indruk dat iedere Amerikaan toch wel een beetj in God gelooft. Of hebben alle Amerikaanse atheisten zich voor de gelegenheid verzameld?

Goed te zien dat je weer actief bent !!!! Wens je veel sterkte en hoop je zo snel mogelijk weer te zien. Goed Weekend in elk geval !!! Ome Kees wordt ook oud want pas gedonderd met schaatsen en vanochtend toch maar eens naar de dokter geweest en waarschijnlijk niks gebroken maar een een behoorlijk spierscheuring. hij is inderdaad snel met zn antwoord. maar echt antwoord geeft ie niet. Als ik haar was, was ik terug gekomen met "ok, I can be wrong by the Ju-Ju (by the way does he live up the mountain of at the bottom of the sea, please make up your mind). But my question is what if You are wrong? Or can't you be wrong? Is there no doubt in your mind?"
@Bas: dat is ook zo. Denk wel dat de dame in kwestie iets te overdonderd was, maar ze zal er later nog wel aan terug hebben gedacht…

@Bas Waarschijnlijk zou zijn antwoord in het verlengde liggen van wat Rudy Kousbroek in zo'n geval zegt:
"Als jij gelijk hebt, dan kun je me dat tot het einde der tijden inwrijven.
Als ik gelijk heb, dan merken we er alletwee niets van."
(Is een parafrase, heb het precieze citaat even niet bij de hand…)
